Oh dear god. There's far too much going on there. The car might look fine if not for the paintwork.

    Complete minger.

How can you write it off as a minger already?

You cannot see what it actually looks like!

I presume the reference to a nasty paint job was tongue in cheek? Obviously its camo not paint.

I think wait and see what it actually looks like!

It'll be technically brilliant, but a minger. Looks like a C3 Picasso scaled down.

Not what I'd be expecting from BMW with regards to shape, light clusters etc.

Can't see it being a good looking car judging by the initial looks, size etc.. ugh!

In fairness BMW has been on a slippery slope downhill for some time now and instead of trying to go back up that hill, BMW have decided to speed up and go down that hill even quicker.

The only positive thing I can think about this car is that it is still rear wheel drive (the car is rear engined).

In fact it makes it all the more ridiculous that they will soon be selling conventional ICE engined models with wrong wheel drive!

It has a BMW badge. It'll sell millions.

That looks seriously ugly. It just doesn't look like a BMW.

    +1

Sure even their CEO said that people buy the 1 series just because it's a BMW.

You really do have to wonder at the type of people who run car companies.

Certainly, if Norbert Reithofer is anything to go buy, they are people obessed with what the marketing people say and couldn't give a fiddlers' flute about being the best and making the best things.

I'd hate to be an engineer working for BMW these days - there was a time when the engineers got to design works of art - such as the naturally aspirated M engines - pure genius engineering going on there, or the expensive aluminium suspension, but these days all the engineers get to do is to make things as cheaply as possible and to hell with making things satisfying and good.
