6 new members to the Central Bank Board announced last night

Is this one last "jobs for the lads" effort from FF before they're out on their ear?

Can this decision be over turned by the next goverment or are they definitely in for 4 years?

It seems like a smack in the face to the citizens of this country that a party with no mandate can be making these types of appointments on their last day in office. Its akin to the way outgoing US presidents pardon certain rich folks on their last days in office.

Dr Ahearne joins Professor John Fitzgerald, Max Watson, Michael Soden, Des Geraghty and Professor Blanaid Clarke on the commission that replaces the former Central Bank board and will serve for four years.
