Cant finish ios 4.2 upload to iphone 4

    Hi

    an error, 'the network connection timed out',is repeatedly reported by itunes after downloading the software at the point that my laptop seems to finish "writing" it to the phone (?)

    i have ran the itunes diagnostic several times. network, device and synch connectivity tests are all successful each time.

    any suggestions ?

    try from DFU mode, youtube it ;-)

    Thanks Any impacts in going to DFU i.e. a phone-restore. Will I lose data etc ?

    4.3 is out Friday, there is rumours its out today but it will probably be 11pm if it is.

    Do a sync and hit transfer all purchases to this computer from the file menu.

    Then restore and when finished set up iphone fropm the backup dated today.
