My dad never ceases to tire of telling me of the 'ol days and he and his dad (granddad) drove the cattle 7 miles to the mart on bikes.
    And then drove stock home.

No Izuzu Troopers and Ifor Williams back then I tell ya!
Sounds like Abe Simpson at times!

So yes, get that bike and go old-skool
The elderly farmers in your area will give you knowing nods and much respect

For anyone than is able to avail of it, the bike to work scheme is great.
You can pick up a bike through this, pay from your wages, and save on tax.
If you're on the higher tax, I think a €1000 bike will cost you €520, or a tenner a week. I think its at Biketowork.ie.

    I don't know that.
I done it through work. If your spouse or partner works maybe this would be an option. It's a great scheme, but you may look into it to see if you can qualify, maybe try ringing Biketowork at 0818 332 752, or look into it online.

You need to be an employee (possibly includes directors of companies who are employees for tax purposes).
