Has anyone signed up to a company to do this and what were your experience of certain companies? Just wonder should I look into it to make some extra cash.

I've done it once. Had to send them a snippy letter threatening legal action just to get paid what I was due. Funnily enough they didn't offer me any more jobs after that ;-)

I'm told that other companies are better, though.

Did it a few times, Eileen sometimes comes on boards and signs people up

The worst was assembling a display for Energizer batteries in B&Q. Took hours to do it, miserable day, a hundred customers asking me where products were while ignoring the staff in B&Q shirts , and the company fired me after it for submitting the report late though I still say it wasn't my fault

The best was sampling Becks & Stella around pubs and hotels. Ask for the brand, check on storage and branded glasses and so on, enjoy your drink or several and claim for the expenses, fee and travel :D

And most were simple things like visiting electric shops and see did they promote a product.
Or buy Subway roll and check for quality. Subway do a huge amount of visits

In short, you won't get rich from it but if you're an afternoon free like a college student worse ways to spend your time

I get a few jobs here and there with Grassroots, I don't know if you can sign up with them still though?

I did it and still do it. It's good for supplemental cash but I wouldnt be using it a primary source of income, even part time. Sometimes the reports can be long and the task they want is pretty detailed but I dont mind as I am a fast typer and have a good memory so I can remember loads of stuff.

Red C pay you for online surveys too, a mate does that and finds it okay but nothing to write home about.

Bear in mind you get paid about 6 weeks in arrears too so it aint that great.

Now that Red C were mentioned that might be a decent job if you want something part time

I forget the name of the company I worked for, out in Blackrock Dublin, wasn't there long
You do things like political polls or surveys for banks and car dealerships.
Call centre work, it's pretty easy and you pick and choose your shifts.
If you don't want to work certain shifts just say so.

I did it for a few Irish companies then for NOP, they were much more organised and a pleasure to work for, but I could spend 1hr typing the report up so all in all the amount per hour wasn't great, but by the time I got paid it was like free money because I forgot about the work.
