Getting through to the marriage registrar's office in Lombard St

I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this but it is impossible to get anyone to answer a phone in the registrar's office! I have been trying for days, leaving messages but no one has got back to me.

Anyone who has been successful do you have an extension number that I could dial as that is one of the options and it might get me through. I am getting married in July so really need to get this process going.

    Thanks!

I got through twice in the past week. the first time i had to hold for about 10 minutes and then a guy answered, took all my details and promised someone would phone me back. then i tried the next morning and got through straight away and got everything i needed done, done. I also told them that i had left my number for a call back and that i didnt need a call back now that i had gotten everything done. i received a call back later in the week anyway..!

the number i rang is 01 8638200, worked fine for me, keep trying!

I had the same problem! After ringing four days on the trot gave up and rang the registrar in Naas, phone was answered straight away and we just had our meeting last thursday all done and dusted, the registrar there that we were dealing with was really lovely! Meant taking some time of work for us though.

Getting married in July too so was anxious to get it done too!

Thanks for the replies. As luck would have it I got through this afternoon but they took my name and said they'd have to get back to me later in the week. Here's hoping!!

You might have to try it again. It's a public service shop. They open at ten, don't answer the phones till 10.15, half hour tea break at 11 o clock, 2 hour lunch break at 12.30, answer the phones again at around 2.45, stop answering the phone 15 minutes before clocking off and going home at 4.

I'm not joking, I remember the pain of trying to ring that place. In the end I went to Naas too.

I tried them twice in one day last week and just said to the guy that answered that where he was transferring me, no one was answering. He went up to the office to have a word and find someone for me :)
That's true about all the breaks. We were told today it's better to ring in the morning cos they might be off doing weddings in the afternoon. Good luck!
