Apologies if this has already been asked. I did have a look around but couldn't find an answer.

Can anybody tell me what box Sky are supplying with a SD Sky+ package installation. I ask because I was speaking to a Sky rep a number of months back and I think I remember him mentioning that all boxes installed would be Sky+ HD boxes irrespective of whether a SD or HD package was taken.

Is this the case or not?

Edit: I think he mentioned that all boxes would be 3D ready also.

All boxes supplied to new customers are Sky+ boxes, standard(non recording) boxes are only used for multiroom.

The main box is the HD+ box but it's up to the customer if they want the HD pack or not.You still get the same box regardless of whether you take the HD pack or not.

The boxes also do 3d but you need a 3d tv and Sky World HD pack to get Sky 3d at the moment.

    Thanks Zerks.

So all main boxes supplied are Sky+ HD irrespective of package taken. I thought as much.

    This is what confused me.
