I'm on the hunt for decent socks, something that will go to my calf rather then just barely cover my ankel as most socks tend to do nowadays. The socks currently available from M&S, Dunnes, Tesco et al are of such quality as to be almost disposable.
I have a source for quality socks but they are coming in at €15 a pair! Very nice and have a few pair for occasional wear but I am looking for day to day socks.

    Any suggestions?

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

These are a bit pricey, but I like the socks sold here, there's a good selection to choose from. I have a pair and they're very warm and comfortable.

Check out TK Maxx. I've often seen Pringle socks in there in multipacks. Nice quality.

For gents socks, have you tried Next, they have a few different types, can be better than the supermarkets/penny's etc.

My husband loves the Tommy Hillfiger one and you can get socks at a good price in TK MAX
