    hi guys how much does it cost to move a 4 ton tractor about a hundred miles:)

    oh does this work ... he normally charges €1 /km but is flexible , depends what he is moving and what the roads are like , also fuel is gone very expensive, pm me if you are interested

    You could always drive it! About 5 hrs depending on the box.

    Don't forget the sandwiches. A fella near me, bought a tractor over 100 miles away. The wife drove him to collect the tractor. She got broke down on the way home in the car. Had to leave it in a garage. Your man collected her with the tractor, and they both arrived home together, in time to milk the cows.:pac:

    just make sure you avoid the traffic corps, cos with 4 ton on a tri axle it will cost you more than a € a Km , if you're pulled for weight

    I remember going to Cookstown in Tyrone from West Galway about 5 years ago for a low-loader:D Was a JD with a 40k box. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be to be honest. 100 miles is nothing imo;) Saved alot on hiring a lorry and got to see some nice scenery.

    I drove my NH to the inlaws at silage time the last 2 years. Its 72 miles. Takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours max - depending on if you're pulling something behind it or not. Its a nice enough drive with a 40k box. Last year I went over and came back in the 1 day.
