Can anybody recommend a place to replace a wheel stud (and lug nut) which I've sheared off just now?

Any ideas on price and how long it will take?

No mechanic, but it seems to be a reasonably easy job, just your local garage may not have the parts to hand.

You may be able to get a nut and bolt from the parts department of a dealership, or maybe the entire lot from a breaker.

I'm going to move this to motors (with a re-direct in the Limerick forum) as the helpful people here maybe able to answer the query

Halfrauds have wheel studs, also there;s a small but excellent motor factors on the Ballysimon Road, on the left side, going from Halfords back to town.
    Otherwise Limerick Brakes.

Most/all local mechanics should be able to do this.
    Or you can DIY
    YT has a few vids

Had the same happen to me a while back (well, I sheared one, and the mechanic sheared another in trying to remove the wheel!), and this was up in Donegal miles from any decent size town, but there was a local mechanic who was able to replace them for about 20 quid and it took him maybe 20 mins to do the job. If you've ever replaced your brake pads, you should be able to do this too, if not, it's no major job for a mechanic to do either.
