    There's an afterparty, too

Free if you're at the gig, €10 otherwise. Don't know either acts, anyone know what they're like?

Also, any idea of support or if he's got anyone else touring with him?

    Nice.

Only know Exile from his work with Blu and Fashawn. He's a pretty good producer.

Below the Heavens and Boy Meets World are both decent albums entirely produced by Exile, definitely worth checking out.

    Looking forward to this

Love Exile's beats, he has a couple of his own albums which are pretty good.

I'd be up for that, no harm in putting a face to people we talk to on boards.

....but I can't make any promises as it all depends on if my wifepiece decides to go into labour in the next few days

The supporting act, Melodica Deathship, were AMAZING.

    But seriously...

I thought it was a good enough show from Raekwon. The selection of tunes was good and Raekwon seemed really into it. I was let down that he had no other Wu members or a proper hypeman beyond his DJ, though.

I thought Rob Kelly and the supporting DJs were really good.

I enjoyed the gig, but it was an absolute shambles at the same time.

Doors opened at 8 and Rae was due to be over by 11 when the club night was meant to start. He arrived on stage at 11.10 with claims that his plane was delayed, which I'm not sure I believe. He played for an hour, which is standard enough for a rap show, but it was a regular show, rather than just Cuban Linx as advertised. Not a huge deal as I'm a big fan of a lot of his other stuff, but was still looking forward to hearing the album in full. He was in good form, but for me was talking too much inbetween songs when I would have rathered hear a few more tunes. Could have been doing with another rapper with him too, I reckon. As I said, enjoyed it, but could have been a lot better.

Yeah it was pretty bad waiting around so long but i think it was worth it in the end.Melodica Deathship or whatever they were called were brutal and boring which i don't think is whats needed on stage to entertain people who are sick of waiting and waiting and waiting and when they were bitching about people booing at them didn't really help either. The organisiers could have and should have left DJ Mayhem to play on longer 'cause he had the place buzzin'.Still though at the end of the day it was good to see Raekwon up close.Pitty Ghostface couldn't have been along with him
