    Has anyone bought a new avensis diesel.
    I'm looking to change at the moment from an 05 petrol one.
    Any problems etc?

    The only bad point is the electric handbrake which takes getting used to..
    The specs are still similar to 2005 but rear electric windows aren't available on the first 2 specs .

    The engine is the one from 2006 so is proven.
    Which spec were you looking at?

    At the strata thats what i currently have in the petrol one I have.
    It has cruise control, bluetooth, rain&dusk sensors and 17" alloys.

    I have looked at the mondeo, passat and insignia and you seem to get more as standard with the avensis.

    Also if i trade into a toyota garage i'll get a bit more for it. Was offer a 2k diffence betwwen a toyoya gargae and a ford garage yesterday.
