Hey everyone, looking for some advice.....I've been dying my hair black for years, I used colour b4 a few weeks ago and got most of the black out and then dyed it a auburn colour anyway after a few days I went back to black again because I didn't really want the red in it.
Now i've decided I want my hair to end up something like this
    jlohaircolour.jpgjlogoodhaircolour1.jpg

I already know what to expect after using the colour b4, it will be a brownish red so what should my next step be after that? I was going to try jerome russell bblonde lightener after the colour b4 to see what colour I end up and then take it from there or would anyone have any better ideas?
My hair is in very good condition and I actually bleached it a few years ago 3 or 4 times in a row and my hair was still in good condition so i'm not too worried about breakage.

Any advice? I'm not going to a salon because I have only had bad experiences there! Thanks for reading :)

It's almost impossible to get a nice blonde colour over red or black hair dye. Your best bet is probably to get it stripped but thats very harsh on hair. Were the colours you used permanent?

Not necessarily , i just found this fantastic product in a pharmacy in ballyfermot when i was doing my friends hair, i cannot for the life of me remember the name but i will find out! i know boots have started advertising it ,no damage whatsoever , it works by shrinking the molecules of the dye and then you rinse with a buffer twice . it was fabulous , smells horrific though , like sulphur.

i found the garnier multi lights are quite effective at getting to the hair colour you have in the pictures( i had it for a day by accident wen i thought it would suit me :P) . just it is soo harsh i will warn you , but if you want http://www.youtube.com/user/VIPCATACADEMY she gives some great tutorials, her voice WRECKS my head but she is pretty decent , but i would sometimes take it with a pinch of salt .

but if you want it lighter, and im guesssing multi tonal? if you want to pm me i can show you before and afters i have personally done myself so you can see if my advice is going to work for you or not :)

That's the one I mentioned, it's called colour b4! If you can't get colour b4 you can use rusk elimin8 which is from sallys and is twice the price but twice the product. I was going to use that and then a lightening kit to start with.

I don't know whether to just leave out the colour b4 and go straight to the bleach or not.

As I said I stripped it all out with colour b4, dyed it auburn and then black but it's already faded to dark brown and because I only have 2 layers of dye there wouldn't be a huge amount of build up.....Hmmmmm

    Good luck with the silver!!

before and after pics would be deadly; I would LOVE to get my hair this colour; I used Colour B4 last year and it took me from brunette to ginger, got highlights twice and was lightish blonde but nowhere near what I wanted..

OK this was the colour i had http://www.flickr.com/photos/49979891@N03/5510423207/

in 2 days i went to this http://www.flickr.com/photos/49979891@N03/5511023294/in/photostream/

WITH 2 schwarzkoppff 00A dyes and a la riche directions toner
( i had nothing to do so rested my hair which i would advise)

i left thatfor a month and last night went this http://www.flickr.com/photos/49979891@N03/5511023220/in/photostream/
(it is alot whiter than that)

with 2 40vol bleaches with blue activator( tbh i did not need the second bleach ) and a po1 luo colour toner with 20vol peroxide.

i think i should point out (could be very obvious) that those are all photos with extensions my hair is chin length/nape of neck .

just PLEasE condition your hair it can so easily turn to candyfloss, i use upto 6 conditioning products /sprays/serums ever day so be prepared for maintenance

    hope this hellped :) xxx

Hey everyone, so I bleached my hair then applied a light ash blonde colour, it's nice but still a little yellow, if I bleach it again should I reapply the light ash blonde or go for very light ash blonde?

Edited to add: I mentioned in another thread that I decided to go lighter...that's why I'm getting the lighter colours in case you are wondering!

I bleached it twice and I have no damage at all, frickin delighted!!

The other day in Sally's I got L'oreal majirel light ash blonde and it did take a lot of orange out of it, I heard that that was used as a toner but are there other types?

Looks great in the second pic Berdiii, can't really make it out that well in the third but i like the second best!!

I bought a light reddish dye for my hair today; might wait until I have some time off work in April before doing the Colour b4thing again as my hair is not in great condition..

    Cheers for the pics!

With a lot of effort I did mange to get my hair pretty close to that jlo colour, took a lot of time and a lot of dye :)

Don't really want to go through that again any time soon!!
