    Id be interested in doing this job but I was wondering if its even possible to do in Ireland? And if not is there any countries that it would it be possible to do it in and how would you go about entering this career?

    get a good degree in Engineering/Electronic Engineering/Physics/Materials Science and work for BAES or QinetiQ. mate of mine from home went straight from uni to the SAMPSON project with BAES, he's still on the project and spends a significant proportion of his life on the Daring class destroyers.

    can't remember if Rayethon are still in NI - they'd be the only, as far as i know, chance of doing the job in Ireland.
