Could be interested, wheres it located? Looking for a good/intermediate road bike, based in kerry so alot of hill work! Current bike isnt doing it

No interest in the shoes...too small for my feet!

Would like to have a look at it if possible

Sorry I should have said, I'm in Dublin 18... Not exactly convenient for you I reckon... (unless you're ever in this neck of the woods? Won't be down you're way in the near future I'm afraid....)

Up in dublin usually 2 days in the week between work and leisure.....

I presume the frame warranty will be void then once transferred, bit of a worry with the carbon!

Frame warranty applies to the original owner only as far as I know, obviously if there was an issue I'd have no problem being the original owner claiming the warranty as far as Trek were concerned, but I'm almost sure I read somewhere that the 'lifetime' warranty is taken to mean 5 years, which means there's only a year left on it...

I don't think carbon fibre frames are anymore likely to fail than other materials these days, I've absolutely no proof of that whatsoever mind you, other than I have 2 carbon fibre and 1 aluminium frames and feel equally safe on all of them, plus I've no doubt that they would all fail in the same way if I hit a tree whilst descending!

Anyway if you want to have a look I'm in Dublin 18, just off the M50 so handy enough to get to...

Next week is a bit messy for me, I'm only around Monday evening, if Tuesday is the only day that suits I can leave it with a neighbour if that's any use...

Price is obviously negotiable, open to sensible offers!

interested still, i can hang on a few days for a viewing, dont think i'll be able to make it up on Tues now anyway

    I'd offer 500 subject to a viewing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 890 ✭✭✭Statler

Thanks for the offer, bit lower than I was thinking of though... Can come down to €650...

i can come up to 580 tops, anything more than that and the bike to work scheme gets you a new one for the same price, granted not the same spec, but new and warranty etc....some good deals on cyclesuperstore and others at the moment

Split the difference on our opening figures and call it €600?

throw in a pair of stabilisers and you have a deal subject to having a look!

Would monday evening be any use to you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 890 ✭✭✭Statler

Don't think I have stabilisers to fit it! Will chuck in a couple of spare tubes and a saddle bag though, won't go to waste!

I'll be home from 7.30pm Monday if that suits?
