    Hi All

I'm trying to cut the crap out of my diet and exercise 5 times a week (mixture of aerobic and resistance) in order to lose weight. I've been reading different threads here and have seen protein shakes mentioned, are they any good for helping speed up weight loss or is there anything I can take or is it all about patience?

It's all about diet and exercise and good general habits like turning off the tv and going to bed early.

Whey shakes have a place if you are lifting weights, but they are instead of something else, not as well as.

There is no supplement which you can buy over the counter which has significant weight loss effects, and the ones you get on prescription are not magic either. Xenical, the prescription form of Alli, produces 6lb more weight loss in a year than placebo.

I always advocate green tea, raise the metabolism, the overall weight loss effects are nominal enough but I find people are encouraged when on it to try harder, to see the effects.

Plus the fact that it has great health properties is a plus.
