    Hi there,

I'm sure someone here can help, I haven't had a new bike since the days my parents bought them for me, looking to get a bike for getting to work, have seen a cheap 18" mens mtb, would it fit a 5' 6" female, inside leg approx 29-30 inches?

    Thanks

    Beware bso. (Bicycle shaped object).

Unless your journey to work is off-road a mountain bike is probably not the best choice.

An 18" mens mtb is probably too big but no-one can say for certain without full geometry figures. If you post a link to the bike maybe someone could help more.

Ok, so far you've done a lot of things wrong - not knowing much about bikes, then spotting cheap mtbs online!!!
But ok, you've asked for advice here, so you are getting better.
Now, get yourself off to a local bike shop that has actual bikes you can sit on, and have a chat with them re your wants and needs and budget. Plenty of SH bikes available to get you started.
