fuking Sonar? how does that work?

hello, you might remember me from a previous thread requesting urgent info about a last minute trip to Barcelona, well im back for more advice, this time about sonar festival.

how does it work? whats the structure? you get your own hotel, and then there is different venues around the city? do you have to queue to get in each venue?

roughly what time does the main action start/finish? is there distances to walk between venues?

any help much appreciated.

the official sonar festival takes place in 2 places, sonar day and sonar night, havent a clue were the sonar day stuff is on as i never made it there when i went in 2006, sonar night is on in some big exhibition centre type place, few massive rooms and an outdoor area, goes from something like 9pm-7am, there was buses to and from barcelona city center to it.

all the clubs have big nights on during the sonar festival week with all the uber cool djs of the moment playing in various venues from the monday - friday, the general consensus of anyone that have ever been to sonar is that the parties in the clubs are much better the actual sonar event.

there is (or was, not sure if they still do it) a massive beach party on the last day of sonar (the sunday day) with **** loads of djs playing sets for free, that was the best buzz i had when i was there, i wasnt very impressed with the whole sonar event myself, too many **** acts at it.
