there's a braveheart in dublin doing a 'promotion' on 'em about 450 i think though god knows the quality!!

you'll pay 600-900 with most dentists, more if you see a specialist.

nice, thanks for that. reason i asked is i just arrived in vietnam from ireland and that very day my tooth broke so i went to the best dental/medical clinic i could find and got it done for 400 euros which is apparently very pricey for vietnam but was where all the expats go. very good vietnamese dentist, all in all a good experience. the place was called **** no names allowed ***********

One additional slant on this - can anyone give some ideas of how the crown range price varies between gold metal crown and a white porcelain crown ?

I need to get one done on UR3 (I think) and remember that when I got one about 10 years ago on the other side that gold was cheaper than porcelain.

    Thanks all.

The material the crown is made of really makes very little difference in the price maybe 20-50 euro each way. Its the artistry and skill of the technician you pay for. The dentist has the same job to do regardless of what the crown is made of.

I dunno fitz, you really need to know your materials science well if you are going to bond. Also you may need to alter the prep if you want to use all ceramic or porcelain butt margin. There may be more aesthetic demand when using all ceramic, etc. Price should reflect these variations in skill and time.
