Have you ever taken a shot from within a water feature?

this is truly the test of great golfers
have you rolled up the slacks and taken those few steps of shame into the pond before chipping out and onto the green (or fairway, or rough, or carpark, or clubhouse lounge, etc)

i for one would just sacrifice the hole and move on
    some people are committed though

    a drain..
tell me more of this drain.
did it have a curious liquid running through it?
at what depth was your ball placed?
was the liquid transparent at the time of said swing?

yes...a drain...dont know what the correct name is.
the 16th on mahoneys point in killarney, there are dozens of these "drains" on the course(and any other parkland course ive ever played)i supose they are known as "drains" because they serve a purpose of drainage.
the top of the ball was just out of the water

Yes - played one out of a water hazard last year when the top of the ball was just showing above the water.

Would not recommend it at all. Hit it as cleanly as possible, got the ball out 20 or 30 yards but got absolutely soaked and muddy in the process. :(

Played from 17th in Kilkea, ball was half covered with water sitting on top of muck, got covered in muck and water but left ball just off the green and got the par, always remember that shot.

ya, on a par 4 (18th) just to lay up rather than probably scratch the hole.
