Bushnell/Leupold (irish dealers)

    Hi,

I've been sitting at the laptop last night for a long time, as I like to surf the living daylights out of products.
I was thinking of getting a Bushnell Tour V2 or a Leupold GX1/3.
I would get the Leupold if it was being sold.
I see the Tour V2 being sold in various golf shops.
I like the optics of the GX3 and the solid build.

I'm wondering if there really is no-where in the country that is selling them. I would have imagined that there would be some hunting shop that could be the retailer for these. There is a good market for them and now that people can use them in GUI comps they will all have them.

There was one potential site below, but on amazon I could not see it as being one of their sites for buying the device so I'm sceptical.

Anyone here have the Tour V2?

    From Mister Sifter,

    Yours etc,
    GSH.

I have a new sureshot coming today and I've already had my home course fully mapped out as I like to know all the various hazards.
I am going to the Tullamore Due and also playing Lahinch/Doonbeg/Adare in May so I would like the Laser beam technology for that.
The Tour V2 gets good reviews and it looks like a good bit of kit. Unless the GX1 was miles better I would be happy enough to get that I reckon. I was just wondering if anyone had got a GX1 or GX3 in Ireland.

    Yours etc,
    GSH.

So, yesterday morning I had no DMDs and yesterday evening I had the 8850 sureshot and the Bushnell V2. My front door is 12 yards from my kitchen sink. Other than that I've not used it much. It's a very small bit of kit. Small enough to keep in your pocket if you wanted.
When buying it I was starting at the golf buddy platinum. I think they will be the big hit in Ireland this year. They are updating their course information all the time.

I'll let you know how the tour V2 rangefinder works this weekend.

As promised, I used the Tour V2 for the last 3 days. Very impressed.
I've got the shakes at the best of times but it was still able to seek the pin as promised.
I have to admit that on a couple of occassions it was picking up trees at the back of the green.
I had the GPS on teh trolly mount so I knew the front/back distances and then if the pin was picked up between those then it was working. Otherwise it took a couple of goes.
Some of the pins could be seen on the top half so it was certainly handy to know where it was on the green. Was a couple over for the round and I think it certainly helps.
I still think that a GPS is a must though and the Tour V2 then adds the extra precision.

    Yours etc,
    GSH.

managed to get the golf buddy world platinum in the us for $289 delivered (to the US). Thats pretty much half the price of what they are in mcguirks. If you have a mate in the US, you'll save over €200.

    astonishing really....

I have the bushnell V2 which I used for the first time over the weekend and I found it great, it certainly allowed me to fire at the pin, unfortunately I can't hit the green never mind the pin. That said on those rare occasions that I did hit the green it made a big difference knowing the exact distance to the pin. I have used GPS in the past but found this better to use. I would recommend it as it removes the element of doubt that exists about just how far away the pin is.

Now all I need to do is try and get the ball to go in the direction I want it to

Can you still get done for Customs if he sends it over to you though? Genuine question, because I have some distant relations in the States that I have talked to once that might be getting an email if you don't get charged! Lol

Can they not just buy it, then open it and send it on to you minus all the wrappings etc?? ie. second hand.
