car insurance

    Can anybody give me the name of an insurance company thats reasonable for car insurance.I have been driving a taxi the last four years,and before that i had a full ncb but for some reason you have to take a step back and now i only have five years ncb???But anyway i have been getting ridiculous quotes ranging from 550-750 euros and have never in my 23 years driving have had a claim or a crash.I would appriciate any help.Thanks

    Your best bet is to get out the phone book and ring around there is no one company that does cheap insurance it all depends on age car value of car were you live etc etc.

    Have been on internet for last two nights trying all the big names but they are all very high with their quotes.Thanks for reply

    Try ringing them as sometimes the online quotes will be a lot higher then when you ring them up.

    You're always better off ringing them or requesting a call back, most of the time they will come down from what they quote online, especially if you say you got a cheaper quote elsewhere...

    try Tesco.

    Im 29, driving a 1.1 full ncb...fully comp with tesco was about 300. My renewal is in 8 months time and rang them yesterday as will be changing my car to a 2.2l BMW 5 series...only 88 euro extra..was well pleased.

    Get a quote online..make sure you put in your clubcard no. as you get a further 10% off(even though they don't actually specify this).

    It doesn't really matter how many years claim free driving you have after 5 years. Generally speaking you will be granted the maximum discount any insurer is prepared to allow at that level
