i dont want to stir anything but if we are not allowed to post anything about a so called target shooting event. then how are you allowed to post something about a target shooting magazine

i am referring to the event coming up in midlands on Sunday.

a poster was told by a mod that nothing from target shooting was to be posted in the general shootin/hunting post.

is there rules for some and not others..

OMG, I don't know how I'm allowed get away with such a massive breach of the rules.....Maybe ask one of the mods, perhaps? Rather than me?

I posted this link to the Target Shooter magazine, because I thought it may be of interest to all shooters, regardless of what and why they shoot. Did you read the magazine? Did you find anything of interest to you? If you did, then great. If you didn't, then sorry for wasting your time and for offending your sensibilities.

If you don't want to read the magazine, I'm not forcing you - In fact, I could care less whether you do or don't read that particular publication or any other for that matter. I just thought that some of the lads (and not specifically you) might have found the mag to be of some interest. Take it or leave it: I don't frankly give a sh1t - but don't be "implying" some sort of nonsensical conspiracy theorising about my motives.

What's with this "we" and "you" nonsense?
Who are "we" and who are the "you"?
That's a bit of a sectarian, separatist, and exclusive mindset, you've got there, poulo TBH.

You seem to have a bee in your bonnet about my motives on this (incorrectly, I might add), but if you think there's a "we", "you", or "us" issue on my part, I would respectively suggest that you check with your own "exclusively hunting":D buddies (e.g. Clivej, Shanmoll308, Dwighet, and Bunnyshooter) about who I am and what I'm about, before you go around slagging me off and imparting ulterior motives to my posts and my intentions. I don't know why or how you've developed this sense of "us" against "you" (whoever they may be), but rest assured I don't view the world through the same filters as you. Maybe I should.

I don't know: Ask a mod maybe? Rather than posting an attack on my motives?

You've never met me. You know nothing of my motives. You know nothing of my interests (really).

But you'll have the opportunity to discuss them with me on Sunday if you'd like. I'm sure one of the lads mentioned above will be delighted to introduce us.

If I'm reading too much into your post, I'm sorry, but it reads to me like a direct attack on my own motives, and that I'm not too fond of. I'll buy you a coffee on Sunday morning!;):D

    I'll field this one.

I told Tackleberrywho that if an event takes place on a range it is target shooting and hence goes into the target shooting forum. I would love to advertise it in the hunting section as it is more "at home" there, but posting the same post across multiple fora is also a no-no, and it wouldn't be proper, especially for me, to break the rules.

Technically this thread does belong in the target forum as it is target related info, even though it is not an event. On that note i'm moving it now to target.

In relation to the MNSCI event, as with all things there has been enough time for word of mouth and the odd hunter checking the target forum for word to spread. If other users reference an event in a post in another thread thats okay, but if another user posted the event in hunting when the original is in target then the two would be merged into one and in the target forum where it belongs.

This is as good a reason as any for (mostly) hunters to throw the eye in on the Upcoming Competitions/Events, and Weekends Events threads in the target forum. Its not all evil paper punchers, honestly. :D

Wo there buddy. Back up the train.

I was not attacking You at all. I was just making a point.

I look forward to speaking with you and anyone else that makes their way up on Sunday.

And I also think it was good of you to post something about target shooting in he shooting forum as it offers a chance for the likes of me to have a look at some other shooting discipline that I otherwise wouldn't have seen.

I will hold you to that coffee

Grand, poulo6.5, my bad - I was reading more into your post than you had intended. Oops. Sorry about that. Old Age and Paranoia are setting in nicely!!:D

Consider the Train well and truly reversed back into the sidings! :)
And I also think it was good of you to post something about target shooting in he shooting forum as it offers a chance for the likes of me to have a look at some other shooting discipline that I otherwise wouldn't have seen.

Thanks - That's pretty much why I'd originally posted the link over on the Main Shooting forum. I'll stick to posting such "target" related items in here now. As ezridax has mentioned, it might be a good idea for predominantly hunting lads to check out the target shooting thread occasionally - There's sometimes some useful info to be had over here in target-world. Likewise, that's why I'm sometimes to be found over in the Hunting forum myself, skulking around reading and learning!;):D

And again, as ezridax posted earlier, we're not all evil paper-punchers over here (well, some of us anyway!).;)
    The Coffee is FREE biggrin.gif

What now? Free coffee, free parking, lots of goodies to drool over, cover in the rain, ranges galore, tables and chairs, free advice, AND an abundance of toilet and sanitary facilities....Wow.....Where is this Place-of-Wonder of which you speak?!!!!:rolleyes::D

See you on the line in the morning. dC
