    Temporary Road Closure: N51 Navan-Athboy road - Monday 28th February 2011 to 27th May 2011 inclusive
    Date Released: 23 February 2011
    NAVAN TOWN COUNCIL
    TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS
    S.75 Roads Act, 1993 (Roads Regulations)
    Having given notice, Meath County Council has made an order to close the following road:
    • N51 Navan Athboy Road to through traffic from its junction with L-8008-00 and L-4024-12, (known locally as Clarke’s Cross) to its junction with R164-178.
    Reason for Closure:
    The purpose of this Temporary Road Closure is to facilitate road reconstruction and road resurfacing works.

    Duration:
    It is proposed to close the road from: 8am on Monday 28th February 2011 to 6pm on Friday 27th May 2011
    Alternative Routes:
    • All traffic proceeding to Navan shall be diverted via the R164 to Kells and the R147 to Navan.
    • All traffic proceeding to Athboy shall be diverted via the R147 to Kells and the R164 Athboy.
    Can anyone tell me is Meath County Council carrying out these works themselves or is it a contractor?
