    I don't want this to turn into a thread about whether, or not cannabis should be legalised. That is not why I am posting.

    I cannot believe that a self professed cannabis smoker is allowed to walk into the Dail chambers as a TD. I think it is a farce. I saw him for the first time ever on the frontline on RTE and I just looked and thought "he must be a stoner". I laughed when I heard my first thought was true. I cringed when heard he was elected. I bet he went outside the counting station to smoke a splif when he got elected.

    I was surprised he offered to cut his salary by 50%, won't he need the extra money to fund his drug habit? What about all the murderous criminal gangs he is funding, now with our tax money. What a complete joke that he was elected.

    I wonder if his habit has caused him to forget that destroying our bogs is actually a bad thing and is polluting the environment. How long will it be before he shows up to take his seat in the Dail, STONED?

    Smoking pot means doesn't contribute a 'drug habit'. Neither does it mean he's unable to function enough to sit in the Dáil.

    You make it sound like he's a smack addict.

    Then why are you posting? What sort of discussion do you hope this thread will engender? Or is this just a blog post/rant?

    Thread closed. PM me if you want it re-opened and if you can supply some reason for this thread other than complaining. Starting with a derogatory thread title didn't help either, by the way.
