During the recent windy weather a political poster blew off a post and hit my car door.No dents but some scratches which come through the blue paint work as thin white lines.I cant afford to get a spray job but is there any product on the market that I should put on them to stop them rusting

Could you throw up a picture?

If you can run your fingernail along the scratch and not catch your nail, you can use Turtle Wax Safe cut or similar to get rid of them.
