Urgent: Scrapyards around Clane

    :confused:Hi I am wondering does anyone know of any scrapyards around the Clane area? The engine went on my 02 Punto lastnight and it's not really worth fixing as the guy that towed it for me said the headgasket is gone and also that the bearings are gone. It would cost more to put a second hand engine and fit it in then the car is worth.

    I need to get it shifted today as the recovery guy put it in storage last night and wants 25 euro a day after that.

    I rang that crowd in kilcock and they said they wouldnt give me anything as they would need to collect the car from the recovery crowds storage yard

    No havent found a garage to do the swap. My biggest reason I need to get it shifted off today is that I live in Galway and cant afford to tow it back there and it would end up costing more than the car is worth to put a second hand engine in and get it fitted then.

    Do you know anyone that would take it off my hands?

    Ya they will take but as I have already said they wont give me anything for. I want to get something for it at least.

    Well in that case you'll have to pay €25/day storage until you sell it, as mentioned put it on donedeal for a few hundred and hope someone buys it within a week, of course the owner of the storage facility may not be overly enthusiastic about folks coming to view the car.

    OP.. a 02 punto with a knackered engine is not worth anything....

    best to let it go for nothing.. and at least not have storage bills piling up...
