What is your favorite brand of acrylic?

I was told that cheap acrylics have "chemical" (unnatural) colours and actually look "cheap". Have you noticed a difference?

i cant say i have - i like system 3 - galleria and the m and m evans own brand. but then i guess it depends on what you tend to paint and what your style is. mine is a colourful semi-impressionist style. perhaps it's different for people who paint in a photographic-real style...

Golden fluid and occasionally hard body. The pigment is just so intense.

I wouldn't dismiss others. Liquitex would come second and Galeria is pretty good.

I would be interested in trying out some 'craft' quality paints. There seems to be a new brand doing the rounds, Cork Art Supplies stocks them, so I've ordered a couple of colours to see how they work.

I'm so jealous of people in the States & Canada. I regularly talk to artists over there and I want to puke every time they mention 'Dick Blick', Michael's, etc.

Most people go to NY to gadget and clothes shop. Personally I could fill an entire suitcase with art supplies!

Thanks guys. I use Reeves as they are cheap and seem to be ok, but now want to try smth else, some new acrylic brand ...
So Galeria, System 3 or Liquitex? Need to have a look..
