Have an old 80GB Ipod Classic that i've had about 3 years now never had a bit of bother, but the earphone jack is worn and wont play anything through the earphones, does anyone know anywhere i can fix it locally to Northside Dublin?? Or is it even worth repairing? I've also been looking at the new Iphone as my own phone is as old as my Ipod!

Currently paying a €50PM on Meteor, i'm due a upgrade. But the sole purpose of my Ipod is to play music have about 4000 songs on it would a 32GB I-phone be any use???

    Thanks for any advice.

Before you get attached to the idea...
Meteor don't at this moment in time sell the iPhone. They can support it, so if you bought one sim free or got one from another network and unlocked it, then you can have on meteor. But these really isn't any other way!

Look at the Samsung Galaxy S.
    www.gsmarena.com
Search the galaxy and on the left upper side of page you will see a direct comparison with the iPhone. Galaxy more then holds it's ground.

It seems right. It might not seem a good deal but thats another story;) And as for your songs, depending on compression rates size, you will be running close to capacity with your 7K songs ( as a general rule - 250 songs per 1GB )

The other thing to take into account is that apps, photos, contacts, messages ect take up memory on the phone. If you actually listen to your entire library regularly then maybe the iphone isnt for you.

But on the other hand it is the best invention I have ever bought myself and would be lost without it. I have my favourite music on the iphone for when on foot but i kept the entire library on my old ipod 30gb and left that in the car. Best of both worlds there in my opinion!!!
