Family sun holiday with young kids

We are thinking of doing a family sun holiday this year, have 3 kids (ranging from 7 - 2 years old), anywhere with sand, water, sun and is safe. We're not that fussy about destination (Spain or Portual preferable).

The family packages available are pretty expensive, so we would probably have to book accomodation / transfer / flights separately.

Has anyone advice or links on:
- good sun destination for young kids?
- good (and reasonalbly priced) family accomodation?

I have three also, 8,7+4 and already booked for Tenerife, last two weeks of August, flights and accommodation are ~€1400, Ryanair and www.holidaylettings.co.uk. for accommodation in Arona (Los Cristianos)
You will have missed the cheaper flights by now, to get the best price you need to purchase before Xmas for August
5th time back to Tenerife for us!!! and previously been to Menorca/Minorca/Furtaventura, Tenerife has it all...

Just done a quick scan on www.directholidays.ie and came up with Turkey for 2 Adults + 3 kids for €2315 which is very reasonable for July 2nd http://www.directholidays.ie/holidays/customise.jsp?_requestid=93987

Mixed reviews about the accomodation on tripadvisor though

Price is a steal for 2 Adults + 3 kids so worth a look...
