    Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a 4x4 for max €6,500. Preferably nothing bigger than a 2 litre.

I won't be offroading or towing anything.

I moved out to the countryside around a year ago and need something to handle the country side roads and snow and mud that seems to be more common smile.gif

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Subaru Legacy or similar me thinks if strictly for road use, 4x4s are not fantastic to drive on the road and you don't really need one :)

Cheers for the reply James. I moved house over a year ago. I now live up a hill out in the countryside. In the year I've been here we've been snowed in three times. The last time we couldn't leave the house for 15 days. The only vehicles able to negotiate the country roads were tractors and 4x4s.

If we get stuck again and we lose internet connection and sky I'll probably kill someone. :D

A Legacy is all wheel drive, on winter tyres I would reckon it would do just as well as a 4x4 on a road :)

You could buy a set of winter tyres either for your own car and they would do the job..:)
