probably, decent looks, massive improvement in every aspect of quality over previous kias, economical engine, cheap tax, massive warranty.

good all rounder they are really.

in a few years boards.ie/motoring will recommend them instead of diesel octavias when their price drops a little.

    Great car.

Love them for the price new and what they give as standard. Although AFAIK you have to get the highest spec to have bluetooth as standard

thanks. bluetooth isn't important to me to be honest - i just put the phone on the seat on loudspeaker !!! - is that illegal i wonder - i like the idea of the warranty, the shape, and even though its kinda a big car - its does necessarily look like one - although the black colour kinda reminds me of the new herses...

How do you put it on loudspeaker without touching it ;)
Its a very nice car, I tried to get the sister into one but she didn't like it for some reason. Its easy to drive with good visibility and was nippy enough. i'd look at one certainly without any hesitation

I'm worse when it comes to buying as I can see myself owning every car I sit it so it isn't a 'birds' problem.

What are your requirements that you want the car for? More info would help people such as budget, mileage, size requirements etc.

Dunno which I'd choose, is the focus a diesel too?

have a C5 diesel 2005 - love the car - the ride is sooo smooth and its giving me about 50mpg - only its after costing me about 2k in the last 6months to keep it running right - with various faults from suspension, depollution filter, and don't talk to me about getting a bulb replaced..it passed its NCT last week...- so i've finally decided to move up in the years before i spend one more penny on it.
so i expect to get about 4/5k for the trade in so i would imagine that i expect to add about 10k to get to a decent 09 range.

don't like the feel of a small car, only do about 22klms average a year, but prefer diesel (i'm told that i prefer diesel) don't like a plastic interior - like a bit of comfort.

Yeah the focus ghia would be diesel also

You should have a look at the Kia and Focus in real life then. You may be disappointed

Both the Focus and Ceed will feel an awful lot smaller than your C5.

I very much echo that and the comfort will be in a lower league.

They aren't bad by any means but certainly not as soft riding and as plush as the Citroen. Have a look and see what you think.

love 'em - took a few for a drive over the weekend - 2008 - what do ye recon - i used to own a Laguna about 10 years ago - and sold it for the C5 - reason for 2008 is my budget - i need to part with about 10k to get this type car...
