I am relieved to see that a third party (Cdn. Dutch) evaluation of the Dep't of Finance over the past decade have exonerated the dep't. The politicians were advised in plain and forthright language that the economy was headed for trouble. Not alone in general terms but in fine detail. This is very important to all of us since our civil servants now have credibility domestically and more important internationally.

I wouldn't pat myself on the back yet Hasschu. Some wistleblowing and kicking and/or screaming at the time might have been appropriate.

Jesus, you'd want to be seriously biased to view that report as an "exoneration".
