Really don't have a regular drink anymore. I pick out what I want when I arrive. Like a child in a sweet shop. Sweets that get you fúcked up.

    Carling E3.80 :D

Lovely pint and comes in a widget glass so it keeps its head the whole way down.

Damn, may go for a pint this evening all this talk of beer haha

Cider for me mainly Bulmers. I've never been able to acquire a taste for beer despite several attempts.

I'm not averse to shots either.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,112 ✭✭✭flyton5

    Kronenberg 1664 or Hoegaarden.

Very few places in Dublin still doing them on tap though. :(

I do work part-time delivering to pubs, but no it's genuinely just out of interest and boredom :D

I'll be the first to vote Smithwicks so. :D

I miss drinking beer. Gave up a short time ago and just drink shorts now

If I'm in a regular pub: Guinness
If I'm in Against the Grain: Gouden Carolus Classic
If I'm in Mulligan Grocer's: La Chouffe

If a bar has some interesting beers I will usually choose them first

don't serve it in me local, but the becks has the rough stuff at the end of the glass too... fizzy a feck pint, be my go to for the summer :)

    In Amsterdam:

    Jupiler
    Domelsch
    Heineken
    Amstel

    In Germany:

    Krombacher
    Koenigs Pils
    Warsteiner
    Paulaner (at the Oktoberfest)

    In Dublin:

    Heineken or Carlsberg

If I go to the offie and they have it I'll get Staroprammen or Kronenburg from Tesco.

But sometimes in summer when I'm thirsty as hell I'll get a pint of cider and gulp down half of it then order a half a lager and make a nice knackery snakebite :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,836 ✭✭✭Sir Gallagher

Heineken, Erdinger or Paulaner then a sneaky glass of Leffe when i'm feeling like a tart.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,864 ✭✭✭Daegerty

Beamish if I can get it. Used to drink Bulmers, Heineken but don't like the taste of them anymore.

One day I picked up a pint of Bulmers and thought 'this tastes like fecking vinegar'. For cider now I go for Swedish stuff but I try to stay away from it because it's full of sugar.

I like a nice cold beer. Coors light or miller. I also enjoy captin morgans and club orange because I'm a classy burd.

    Hardly.

If you answered anything other than "Other Beer" or "Other Cider" then your tastebuds aren't working.

If its a pub - guiness

if its a nightclub - anything from vodka to tequila and anything else that takes my fancy

That's exactly what I mean. . So much room to tell people they are drinking piss, and pull out long impressive names of beers. :)

Guinness for a quiet drink and lager a night out. Can't really handle spirits or wine.

Then you're drinking in the wrong pubs.

Not really. I thoroughly enjoy my local. The OP asked "What would you drink if going for a few pints?". If I was going for a few pints, I'd go to my local. None of the pubs around me have fancy beers. If I wanted one of those, I'd have to put myself out to drink a beer not listed. Hardly ideal. Plus, Carlsberg is tolerable.
