Hi all...hoping to get some help and advice.

I have decided this is the year to tackle the mess that is my back garden. I've been here 7 years and its just been used as a run around for my dog but I want to try and do something with it.

Basically I have two patchs of grassed area, because of the dogs most of the grass is gone and its very patchy. Also its very water logged in the soil exposed areas. Lots of weeds but I reckon I can just pull them up myself.

I have no experience of garderning and am on a very tight budget. I really just want to try and plant some grass for now but have no idea what way to treat the soil

Any help or advise would be great !!!
