Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I couldn't find it.

My question is, can a traffic warden issue you a parking fine in the post? ie, not leaving a notice on your car window.

    Thanks,

Could be wrong but i think it depends on the county council.Cork used to just post you the fine, but i think they have to put it on your windscreen again.

Yea see thats what I thought. Story was I had to leave the car for 5 mins but my girlfriend was waiting for me in the car, traffic warden came over when I was gone and told her to move the car, fast forward two weeks & now I get that in the post, ???

Cowardly warden so, hadn't balls to hand her the ticket.

Say you have to pay it though

Have you seen some of the **** these people put up with from arsehole members of the public who are in the wrong to begin with? The uk police showa occasionally have segments with male and female wardens being assaulted. Them choosing not to engage in a potential conflict is far from cowardly. Its much closer to common sense and experience if aanything.

Good point never thought of it like that.I'd accept the ticket if i was in the wrong.I don't like idea of getting parking fine's in the post though

It is a fair point, but it was cowardly & sneaking not to issue the ticket and leave it on my window. I don't want this to be a debate on how tough their job is but I didn't know you could be issued a parking ticket in the post. They do have a tough job but anytime I've encountered one they have been complete arrogant & smug so I have no sympathy for the abuse that follows them around.

You have no right to confront a warden while they're doing their job, and it's neither cowardly nor sneaky to deprive you of the opportunity. If you have a decent argument then include it in your appeal.

You should be delighted at the new system so, you'll just get the tickets without having to deal with their arrogance & smugness.;)
