No Audio Input Is Installed?!

    Right, so I hooked up a mixer and external soundcard as I use the laptop for DJ'ing and since then anytime I unplug the soundcard the onboard one is not recognized..

    And I can't use the external soundcard for some reason it only seems to work within the program I use to mix tracks in..

    Any ideas on how to get the onboard soundcard working when I am not using the external soundcard and mixer?
