what happens the voting papers after the count?

    just wondering what happens all the voting papers now?

    I would assume they are shredded and then recycled but does anyone know?

    I don't know tbh but i'd assume knowing our Government they are put into storage costing 10 million a year:rolleyes:

    Bit off topic, but do other countries spend as long counting votes?

    It said on the news that the recounts may go on for a good few more days yet.

    They're kept in storage at Leinster house for 6 Months AFAIK.

    They are stored for 6 months under the care of the clerk of the dail. They are then destroyed.

    e-voting takes away the electorates option to spoil their vote.
