If Dick Roche get's back in I would say him. What do others think?

Hmmm, well, Michael Martin and Michael McGrath were returned in Cork South Central and they both have pretty good reputations locally. They're head and shoulders above most of their party colleagues, locally and nationally.
I think McGrath is one to watch out for, I think he will be a big name in the future.
Also, the calibre of candidates in Cork was fairly weak.

I voted for Simon Coveney, who I don't have a problem with, but the general consensus here is that he's a lightweight, yet he would seem to be regarded as the strongest of the FG offering in Cork based on electoral results.

Billie Kelleher - was very surprised to see him returned, no idea how he managed it. Perhaps he was rewarded for going against Cowen or perhaps there were just no other strong candidates to vote for in the constituency (must have been piss weak for Kelleher to be returned imo).
I think if SF had run another candidate in Cork North, they might have got him through and kept Kelleher out.

Willie O'Dea - same as Kelleher really I guess although not surprised he was returned. Years of constituency work, spoke out against Cowen on numerous occassions and on doorsteps throughout Limerick, scored points locally over Rubberbandits, so on, so forth.
Anyone anything more to offer here?

Lenihan - I don't know why he was returned. Certainly not the weakest. I suppose people feel he is a statesman and was making the best of a bad situation (altho I feel he made a bad situation worse).

I barely recognize some of the other names on the list to be honest.

I'm pretty sure that MM, while publicly 'disappointed' at the result, must be delighted in private. The electorate have done a lot of the dirty work for him.
His hand were tied to an extent if you look at his proposed cabinet, now he has a lot more room to maneuver.

Not surprised Kelleher got in. Got a large percentage of the rural vote..a place where many of the other candidates largely ignored, except for maybe Burton. Kelleher has been good to the rural vote in his area. Lynch or O Brien never canvassed half of the rural area.

I would include Lowery. even though he wasn't FF he still backed them in votes and that is before we get to other things

Willie O'Dea - by far. Needs a team of servants to screw his pants on in the morning.

In fairness to him, poor Willie was the victim in that big mess!

At least Cock Roche didn't get back in. :)

Can't really see how Silvermint can rebuild the party with the guys he has at his disposal. Are nonentities like Calleary meant to be the future of the party? Another dynastical throwback?

Silvermint? Looking forward to hearing the reason MM is called that

Shure they have not got a brain between them and led by retro man. It will be a bit hard for them to buy the next election like they did the last 2 or 3 :D

I said this on count night - the FFers returned are extremely poor and considering the small number of them, will find it very difficult to have any impact.
    O Fearghaill FFS!

I think Lenihan is the FFer with the worst reputation of the FF people that got a seat in the Dail.
