Planning a holiday in Spain

We're trying to plan a holiday in Spain for around 8 or 10 people. I have been to Fuengirola before in the Costa Del Sol so we were thinking of flying to Malaga and trying to get accommodation somewhere near there or in Fuengirola town. We're not looking to spend a lot since we're all students but I was thinking if we got a villa for a week it wouldn't work out too much! Does anyone know any good websites or a good way to find a villa/large apartment or even some small apartments together?? Probably for the first week in June! So if anyone has an advice or info it'd be great. Thanks.

Have a look at this site, seems mostly for the American market but you may find something. Sometimes you will see some great deals on villas.

last time i went to Fuengirola we stayed at Hotel Acuarium - nice hotel, friendly staff and good food. Booked thru www.roomsnet.com - its popular here in Cork. We got it for really cheap like € 30 per person...

Im in the same boat ... Im looking to rent out maybe 2 apartments for a week, our group will fly to malaga and get a taxi to the apartments.

Only website I have found so far thats looks OK is www.costadelsoldiyholidays.com, with apartments to rent in Benalmedeema.

Does anyone know of other websites offering apartments to rent on weekly basis ?
Id prefer the torremolinos / benalmedeema area.

I've used this agency - http://www.costasur.com/ - select the English language option, and drill into the site to find what you are looking for. I stayed in Fuengirola, in a private 2 bedroom apartment, near the waterpark. The only problem I had was the key pickup, which was from an office in Benalmadena. I had a rental car and a printed map of the office location, but it still took some time to find(I know Fuengirola better than I would know Benalmadena).

    "Looks" can be deceiving.
Had a read of reviews of this apartment block on tripadvisor.
Looks like its cheap and cheerful if you are planning a stag / hen getaway.

Thanks for all the advice. I think since our group is large enough a villa would probably be most suitable but i'm finding it very hard to find one near a tourist area like Fuengirola or Belemedina (spelling?!) they all seem to be in very remote places!

    Hi there,

I got married in Nerja last May and booked amazing apartments through Lynn at Viva Spain Rentals. We had a big crowd of friends coming to the wedding and we wanted to keep the crowd together but without spending too much on hotels etc. Lynn set us up in apartments/villas ranging from 4 bedroom villas for a large group of lads or 2 bedroom apartments for couples. The lads apartment was amazing as it had a private pool and a roof top terace where we cooked a BBQ one of the nights and had the most amazing view of Nerja. It was the ideal way to keep everyone together too!!
I think a 3 bedroom villa that slept 8 with a private pool was roughly €750 so it worked out cheap for everyone. Nerja isnt the only place they have accomodation but its just where we stayed!

Enjoy the trip and best of luck!

Thanks for that!I'll have a look...what is Nerja like actually? There seems to be a lot of villas available there for quite cheap.

Hi,sorry for the late reply. Well to be honest i had never heard of Nerja before somebody suggested it as a place to get married and after we visited it we fell in love with it! Nerja is about an hour from Malaga airport. It's not a very big town but there are lovely areas throughout the town for a walk or lunch or a drink during the day. There are fantastic views from Balcon De Europa and there are plenty of bars and restaurants along Burriana Beach. We didnt do too many "touristy" things but our group of friends enjoyed the nightlife and ended up in the Tutti Frutti area most nights!! If there is any specific information you need please let me know!

    Good luck!
