Last I heard on RTÉ radio news at 1.00, he thinks he'll just shade it for last seat ahead of his running mate, whereas the party tallymen or their equivalent on counting votes, and the other parties' counters, reckon neither has a chance of a seat.

No chance. It's generally accepted that you need >10% of 1st pref vote to be in with a chance (Cyprian Brady ala Bertie transfers in 2007 aside). He got 5.5%

Various tweats coming through on RTE site

    Also some blog posts here

    The 2 most interesting ones

Fianna Fáil candidate Pat Fitzgerald has criticised the decision by his running mate Dick Roche to seek a recount in the constituency.
Mr Fitzgerald said neither of the Fianna Fáil candidates had a chance of picking up a seat and that the Europe Minister should have 'let it lie'.

FF sources estimating that following rechecking of Dick Roche & Pat Fitzgerald's first pref votes, the gap has widened to 5.

Unfortunately no, if the candidates are eliminated in the right order (for him) he may well be back :(

    You misunderstand me.
There are basically 4 news stories in the election.
1 of those is dominated by Roche.
Put the lads name into google and "news" will be fourthcoming.

Or even look in the wicklow thread.

According to Twitter, a very large rock has been delivered to the Wicklow count centre with full anticipation that the Cock Roch will be crawling under it very shortly. :D

According to RTÉ he was eliminated after the 13th count.

I assumed the RTÉ website had the results of the recount. Is that not the case?
