In answer to a query - - youths can compete in the Men's Inter-Counties Challenge either as a complete youths' team or youths' + men - - provided that they comply with the rules of the competition.

Another great weekend of darts and craic at the Tramore Spring Festival at O'Shea's Hotel.

Two new names on the trophies for the Inter-Counties Challenge competitions with Meath winning the 7-a-side men's event with a 4 - 2 win over Wexford and Kildare losing their ladies' 5-a-side title when they were defeated 3 - 2 by Wexford.

Wexford had a good night on Friday with Jason Cullen and Andrew McCormack winning the men's doubles and Martina Scallan and Karen Scallan winning the ladies' doubles.

The Damien Connolly Memorial Men's Singles was the main event on the final day of the Festival and the title went to Limerick for the third year in a row when William O'Connor defeated Shane O'Connor 6 - 1 in the final.
The ladies' title went to Kay O'Carroll who defeated Linda Harte 4 - 3 in the final while Stepen Lennon defeated Murty Browne in the youths' final.

Sincere thanks to everyone for their support and co-operation over the weekend.

There was a great turnout of players for all competitions - - -

50 pairs {32 men and 18 ladies} in the doubles competitions on Friday.
    30 teams {18 men and 12 ladies} in the Inter-Counties Challenge,
148 players {98 men, 31 ladies and 19 youths} in the Singles competitions.

There was a total payout of € 7,400 in prize money over the weekend.

Would have to agree wholeheartly with that comment, good organisation equals good turnout and if any other comp in the country this year has combined talent which includes the likes of the two O Connors (Willie and Shane) Connie ( even though he wasnt wearing his lucky green shirt LOL) , O Shea, O Driscoll, Benny, Paddy etc..I will happily attend,
People would pay to see some of the darts these lads threw.

    roll on the IPC Final
