What do I need to put stuff from my old Hard drive o my new one?

    Hi,
    I've got a new macbook pro, and I've got the hard drive from the old, broken macbook pro. I want to first put all my music and videos from the old one on to the new one, then use the Hard drive as extra storage space/backup drive.

    What kind of cable should I get to do this and does anyone know anywhere in Dublin I can buy one? Also if anyone has an indication of fair price for such a deeley I'd be very appreciative.

    USB drive adapter

    something like http://www.newertech.com/products/usb2_adaptv2.php as long as it connects to ATA drives which should be your type of hard drive iirc.

    Get another hard-drive as in an external hard drive so you can transfer stuff between the two if you have a large amount of data stored on it. Good idea to get a cd-rw or usb that would have a large amount of memory to store your stuff as back up and transfer to your new hard drive.
