Question - Tax on 08 Avensis D4D

    Hi,

My local car dealer is selling a 08 Avensis D4D that he imported from the UK. He says the tax will be about 156 euro. He said the car is registered feb 08.

I think the tax on this car will be more than this. From looking at other sites I think it would be at least 302 euro.

I need a diesel as I do a lot of mileage and all my money goes on petrol lately!!

Does anyone out there know how much the tax would be?

    Thanks in advance,

    Tom

Tax is €302 on that shape.
    New 09 model is €156.

The uk v5 will show the band c emissions
Hes probably underestimated the vrt bill too. Very easy to get calculation wrong on vrt site as you can select 2008 new model Avensis (which doesn't exist)

Tax is €302 without a doubt.

Yes €302, there's no 2008 Avensis below 146g C02. In a year the difference is not even €3 a week in that or the 2009 model, not really worth considering spending an extra €3k to save €3 a week.
