They thought they would make a break through at this election but once again all their candidates got less than 300 votes. Did anybody here vote for them?

Did they say they'd make a breakthrough? well they would say that wouldn't they. The Christian Solidarity Party, they've been around for about 10 or 12 years afaik. There was a precursor to them.

I'd love to know where they see the relevance of religion in politics

    Absolutely no.

We need religion out of politics, not back into it - so I did not give one religious nut that ran in my region even a preference of any kind.

Let's sell our Sovereignty to Rome instead of Brussels.
    Makes perfect sense.

They got a small handful of votes in the boards.ie poll. Tiny niche party, local one here had a picture of himself holding a cup of tea on his leaflet.

    They're, um, special.

where do they get their money to run for election seeing as they do so bad every single election...
have they ever gotten anyone near elected in any election

why don't they just realise that they have no support at all and they're wasting their time

When I saw the ballot paper today it turned out that I knew the old lad who ran for the CSP in my constituency. He was a oddball but he was a very decent person who always helped others, christian in the good sense of the word. Nearly gave him a preference
