People driving around with Mayo flags

On their cars. I've seen a good few of these in the last couple of days and I live in Westmeath, not really near Mayo. Are these people actually taking pride in their man Enda becoming Taoiseach?

I personally think I would be embarrassed to tell people I come from the same area as Enda Kenny.

Nope. That would be for Garrycastle GAA club based in Athlone who wear the lovely Red and Green.

I was in the hairdressers today in Castlebar.
A woman in there mentioned how she was going to the pub to celebrate, and the guy cutting my hair wouldn't stop talking about the round of golf he played with enda once.
I'm not sure what the fascination with him is.

They won the Westmeath title last season, still see the flags around the place.

Only one county in the West that adds something to the country and it certainly isn't Mayo.

    And where would that be?

    And what does Galway offer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,985 ✭✭✭WesternZulu

    And what does Galway offer?

A list of the most depressing towns in the province...Athenry, Ballinasloe, Loughrea, Headford etc

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,512 ✭✭✭Oh_Noes

So Garrycastle's flag, Mayo's flag, St Brigid's flags are all the same...

I'm an idiot for not knowing this?

Jesus I'd hate to see the GAA chrismas party, all the "women" would show up in the same dress.

It's good for Mayo in fairness since they are a pretty ignored part of the country! I still think Kenny is a tool though. He won't do much for Wexford anyway

OMG Snobby much...what the hell like? I don't think there is anything wrong with anybody taking pride in where they come from and the fact that they're proud of Enda Kenny is a nice trait and shows their commitment and loyalty to him.

Do you really have so much time on your hands as you have to spend it looking down on people?

I love how the count is on in the theatre of the TF when upstairs in the night clubbed there'll be a few hundred young ones pilled off their tits :D

Should make for a fun mix in the car park :pac:

As always, the biggest winner in the TF tonight will be Pat Jennings!

Hope they have plenty of security on. A mix of rowdy youth, drunk Blueshirts celebrating and the angry Fianna Fail old guard could make it 'proper naughty' tonight!

Offaly did the same thing when The Biffmeister was elected.
