My impression is it's Public Sector mainly, along with some unionised private sector people who seem to be lowly paid?

I voted labour because of Pat Rabbitte. He goes out of his way to help people in dublin south west and I dont want to see a fine Gael one party government..atleast with labour in there they can challenge some of their policys!!

I voted Labour because I agree with the majority of their policies and also don't wish to see a FG only government.

I'm a student who works in the private sector most weekends (also intend on getting full time employment in the private sector after college) and I voted Labour 1 & 2. I think Enda Kenny is an utter plank and I didn't like most of Fine Gael's frontbench apart from James Reilly.

I take it the OP did not vote Labour, I did - I am neither a PS employee or in a Union but I do like Labour (voted Labour last election too) & fear a FG single party Government.

My only problem with Labour is the tie in with the Unions, but then who better to negotiate with them?
