specs online show only one rf_in jack.

do i combine saorview and satelite cables with a splitter/joiner and the combined result go in to this rf_in jack ?

i was hoping to cable the rf2_out off a sky+ box in another room to this tv (+ saorview ariel cable + satelite dish cable),

that would be 3 in total if everything has to go in to the rf_in jack, would that cause problems ?

    thanks.

    no
There will be separate RF in for TV aerial and IF in for Satellite. Satellite cable while higher band than UHF TV isn't RF, that's only on LNB, it's IF.

Satellite tuners need each a separate IF signal from separate coax from the Dish.

To add to watty's reply, if you combine the RF output from a SKY box with an external aerial feed for Saorview, you may have to change the UHF channel being used by the SKY box in case it interferes with the Saorview signal. I assume you're doing this to feed "paid for" SKY channels to the set that won't be received by the Freesat tuner?

The cable from the satellite dish to the Sony has its own dedicated connector - screw-in (F-connector) - same as on SKY box. You need to set the TV to UK country and input a GB or NI postcode to get the full 7 day Freesat programme guide and place the ITV region channel on 103 (UTV, Granada or whatever). This will put the Saorview channels in to 800's when you do the digital scan, but it's easy to change them to whatever values you want. It's a great TV - enjoy!

thanks :), yeah i was going to feed in sky sports to duplicate it if its being watched in the other room.

and also i was looking to hook up as many feeds as i have available now, i have to many (sky+ & chorus analogue), ...then decide later what is redundant and which bill can be cut.
