Mondeo general questions

    Hi,

I'm looking at getting the new style Mondeo. Not sure whether to get diesel or petrol. I do a lot of driving, am up and down the M50 daily but also do a lot of town driving as well - basically a large part of my job requires driving so it varies daily. I'm leaning towards a diesel but i'm just not that educated as to the pros and cons of both.

Also has anyone driven the new Mondeo? What's it like? Is any engine size below 1.8 litre too small for such a heavy car? Will be looking to get a 2008 one probably and would love to hear some thoughts from anyone that knows a little about this car.

    Thanks!

    The mother has a 2007 1.6l petrol.

Its not been great reliability wise but I think its the exception rather than the rule going on what everyone else says.

Other than that get one with a bigger engine. It drinks petrol and is underpowered.

It can also be a pain to park in normal car parking spaces as its very wide and long.
