Yep. Monkeys must conform to rules laid down by other monkeys. Some of these rules come from the teachings of a holy monkey who lived thousands of years ago.

See all this conforming jargon, mate?
its BS. Its just a fake front/layer of crap we put on. Everyone is out for themselves in life. Just people dont openly admit it.

In some respect we all have to conform to society at various levels. I suppose this is how society funtions (well), but thats not to say that it defines who and what we are. There are lots of choices to make, not so much as to define ourselves but finding out what makes us tick/happy/feel alive. Being restricted by conformity is an indicator that your not in control of what you do to tick the boxes above. Its time to rethink and re-evaluate what you really want out of life. The shackles fall off then!!!IMO

not really, I mean when you have all this facebook, twitter, clubbing nonsense it's always at the fore front, people can't just be people any more it's always about something, from experience.

Take most people, they're crazy about cars.
They worry if they get a little scratch on them, and they're always talking about how many miles they get to a gallon, and if they get a brand-new car already they start thinking about trading it in for one that's even newer.
I don't even like old cars.
I mean they don't even interest me.
I'd rather have a goddam horse.
A horse is at least human, for God's sake

Sometimes. Like when I'm squatting in the closet, wanking off with a plastic bag on my head. I think, 'what's this life thing all about? What are we here for?'

Life is great tho isn't it. I mean, we've won the lottery to even exist, and us lucky ones in Ireland have the privilidge to live in a country with one of the highest standards of living in the entire world. We're like the euromillions winners of existence and I for one ****ing love it!

When i read that David Drumm paid 10k income tax on about 7 million worth of earnings from a bank he ruined, i think Irish society is a load of nonsense.

Life in general though, is pretty good when you let it be.

Hahah, I hear this come up from time to time. Ireland does not have one of the highest standards of living in the entire world. Its better than most places yes, but nowhere near the best.

Sure aren't we all just infinitely small specks of dust, floating around on a slightly bigger but still negligibly small speck of dust, for what amounts to an infinitely small amount of time?

You dont have to do ANYTHING op, any of that stuff. Why the hell do you think you do? And, like, what are you expecting from life in the first place?

And here, boys and girls, we see a classic example of how NOT to come out of the closet:D

You are who you are, stop conforming and fúck the begrudgers!

In the immortal words of the great Jay Z

"No matter where you go, you are what you are player
And you can try to change but that's just the top layer
Man, you was who you was 'fore you got here
Only God can judge me, so I'm gone
Either love me, or leave me alone"

Well according to the Human Development index, we are fifth in the world with our standard of living

Ireland also came out top on another index of the best countries to live in.
    That index is highly flawed.
It uses a formula with only these inputs:
Life expectancy, how long you spend in school, income, how long you should stay in school, and a highly flawed "education index", where Ireland is ranked 9th best in the world.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_Index

Its a highly flawed system. Irelands education is not world class and this falsely brings up our "rank" in the HDI.

Not to mention the amount of things the HDI *doesnt* look at.

Sometimes I do wish I could tell everyone exactly what I think of them, especially at work. That'd be pretty liberating.

One day I will - one day. Don't think I'd keep my job very long though after that! Sometimes I do think polite society is a bit of nonsense. Would the world be a better place if we all said what we thought all the time?

Probably not. Most people spend their time thinking inane or irrational thoughts, we hear enough of these as it is.
